µRealms Devlog #2: Sheep, Buildings, and a Revamped UI!
Greetings, future fellow realm-builders!
It's time for another exciting update on the development of µRealms, my2D RTS god simulator game.
In this devlog, we'll be diving into the latest additions.
Woolly Wonders: Introducing Sheep!
First and foremost, I'm thrilled to announce the arrival of the fluffy, baaa-rilliant sheep! These wooly wonders are the first creatures to grace the lands of Micro Realms, and they're here to provide a tasty source of food for your growing human population. Watch as they munch away on the lush grass!
Building Blocks of Success
But that's not all! I've also added a brand-new building system, allowing you to shape your realm with strategic precision. Currently, two structures are available: the humble campfire, which serves as the starting point for your realm and provides you with 2 initial humans, and the ever-important house, which will be crucial for expanding your population in the future.
A Revamped UI: Keeping Track of Your Realm's Progress
To help you stay on top of your realm's progress, I've given the user interface a fresh new look. Now, you can keep an eye on the (upcoming) day-night cycle with the handy day counter, monitor your realm's XP and level, and keep track of your essential resources: wood, food, stone, and grass. These resources will be crucial for constructing and upgrading your buildings, so keep a close eye on them!
What's Next?
While the XP and level systems are currently in place, I haven't yet implemented their full functionality.
You can also expect new buildings to come, and in a near future : GOD POWERS !
